AI Image Upscaler & 2× Detail Enhancement Studio
Resize photographs to real 2K, UHD 4K and DCI 4K output dimensions without shrinking large originals first. Compare the source live, fine-tune optional sharpening, and export full-resolution PNG or ZIP. Experimental neural enhancement is available for small originals.
How to upscale a photo to 2K or 4K without damaging colors
Upload a JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. The live preview shows original image dimensions before conversion. Select 2K (2048px), UHD-style 4K long edge (3840px), or 4K DCI (4096px), then render. The high-quality default avoids destructive 256px intermediate downsizing and leaves color, contrast and sharpening unchanged. The optional Swin2SR neural model is experimental and appropriate only to small original images; if unavailable, the output is explicitly labeled HQ resampling.
Technical limits and photo quality
A 4K file contains more output pixels, but a blurry original cannot be guaranteed to gain real photographic detail. Use mild sharpening only after comparing the result; extremes can produce halos and color artifacts. Very large 4K images may hit browser memory limits. The tool preserves aspect ratio and reports the actual exported dimensions. It does not provide face reconstruction or unlimited 8K upscaling.

FAQ
Is every 4K result created by AI?
No. Premium HQ is deterministic high-quality resampling. Optional neural mode uses an ONNX Swin2SR model on small originals; the processing method is disclosed alongside each download.
What is the difference between 2K and 4K?
The longest edge is set to 2048, 3840 or 4096 pixels as selected; the other dimension follows the original aspect ratio. The exact short edge depends on your photo shape.
Are photos uploaded to the Solvory server?
No. Photos are processed in-browser. Model weights are downloaded separately from the model host.
Upscale image to actual 2K or 4K online: how the workflow works
A 4K output file must have genuinely large pixel dimensions. This studio now offers output targets of 2048, 3840 and 4096 pixels on the longest side, while retaining the photograph’s aspect ratio. The default high-quality mode uses full-resolution resampling rather than reducing the original image to a 256px thumbnail first. Original color values and contrast are not intentionally modified unless the optional sliders are used.
Does enlarging an image automatically create detail?
No. Interpolation generates more pixels and can improve how an image scales to larger displays, but cannot recover information never recorded by the camera. For very small source images there is a separate experimental Swin2SR neural inference mode, which may add plausible visual detail but may also fail or introduce artifacts. Every result reports whether HQ processing or optional model inference was used. Start with a clean original and compare before and after previews. For standard dimensions without enhancement see Image Resizer, and for product photography tips read product photo size guidelines.
