THE WORKFLOW, EXPLAINED

How to extract frames from video

Frame extraction may decode frames around the requested timestamp before producing an image. Selecting an interval can create many files, so review the planned count before processing to avoid browser-memory pressure.

  1. Choose a video, preview the content and note its duration.
  2. Select a specific timestamp or regular interval and choose image format.
  3. Extract frames, inspect thumbnails and download individually or in a ZIP bundle.

A precise timestamp is not always a video keyframe

Frame extraction may decode frames around the requested timestamp before producing an image. Selecting an interval can create many files, so review the planned count before processing to avoid browser-memory pressure. This workspace uses browser-local media codecs for output creation. First-time processing may require downloading a sizable WebAssembly engine; conversion speed, available encoders and supported formats depend on the device, source file and browser. Review the exported video or audio before relying on it professionally.
